Department of Labor Delivers Tough Blow to Companies Looking to Hide Union-Bias

Posted by on Wed, Mar 30, 2016 @ 11:03 AM

The United States Labor Department announced Wednesday the closing of loopholes in the Labor-Management Reporting and Disclosure Act of 1959 (Landrum-Griffin Act) allowing employers to hire anti-union consultants, known as "persuaders," without reporting the arrangements.

Forms from 2015 will no longer be accepted.

The purpose of the ITB is to establish a repository of high quality, asbestos-related-tumor tissue specimens and fluid samples from a highly exposed population of Insulators to support research that finds new ways to diagnose, treat and prevent mesothelioma and other asbestos-related conditions.
