Mesothelioma Patient Registry Bill Introduced

A great amount of our government advocacy is focused on improving the health of our membership and
their families.

One of our top legislative priorities is the creation of a national, voluntary database that would provide needed information for medical researchers to expand our knowledge of mesothelioma.

I am very pleased that Congressman John Katko (R-NY) has reintroduced the Mesothelioma Patient Registry Bill to create this database. The bill number is H.R. 1563.

We are working closely with the Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation to generate support for H.R. 1563, and General President McCourt has written an endorsement letter for this legislation.

To generate support for this legislation, it is important for Insulator members and their families to contact their U.S. House Representative to encourage their support for H.R.1563.

I have created a form letter that I encourage you to use. The letter can be found by following this link.

Your outreach to your U.S. Representative makes a difference, and these elected officials want to be responsive to communications from their constituents.
