Insulators in the Outdoors

The Union Sportsmen’s Alliance (USA) celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2017, as the non-profit organization continued to engage, educate and organize Union members, their families and like-minded individuals who share a passion for hunting, fishing, shooting and the great outdoors.

Throughout the past year, USA members, including our HFIAW Brothers and Sisters, stepped up to the plate to help make USA’s 10th anniversary memorable.

Thanks to our Brothers and Sisters, and fellow building trades members, USA accomplished the following in 2017:

  • Actively engaged nearly 8,000 people in USA events.
  • Completed USA's 100th project at Jones Point Park in Alexandria, Va.
  • Volunteers provided nearly 7,500 hours of service.
  • Completed 27 Work Boots on the Ground projects in 14 states.
  • Held 26 fundraising dinners and 19 shoots throughout the nation.

If you would like to be included in the next edition of the Journal, send us pictures of your outdoor adventures. Thanks to our friends at USA, you will also be entered into a drawing to possibly win hunting and fishing gear. For the Summer 2018 edition of The Journal, we will hold three separate contests: hunting, fishing and family outdoor experiences.

Remember, as a charter member union, our HFIAW members are entitled to a free USA membership, which offers a subscription to the USA Journal, discounts and deals on hunting and fishing equipment and the opportunity to be entered into USA contests.

To share your photos and be entered to win USA gear, simply email your photo with your name, Local Union, phone number, mailing address and hunting/fishing score to hfi@insulators.org. You can also send pictures and stories to our Facebook and Twitter accounts for your chance to see them shared!
