Job Action at Carleton University in Ottawa
Insulators International Staff — Mon, May 8, 2017 @ 08:05 AM
When it comes to performing mechanical insulation, the members of the Heat and Frost Insulators and Allied Workers are the most skilled and highly trained workforce available.
HFIAW Local 95 in Ontario wanted to make sure that the decision makers for the Carleton University Life Science project know that our workforce is the most qualified workforce available, while sharing with them all of the benefits that HFIAW Insulators bring to every project on which they work.
To clearly display the skill and professionalism that the trades can offer to the Ottawa based project, HFIAW Local 95 organized a breakfast where all of the trades joined together and displayed both their solidarity and their continued commitment to performing excellent work.
The event was well attended and included over 80 members from Local 95, Officers from HFIAW Local 58 in Montreal and International Organizers.
The purpose of the event was to inform the contractor in charge of the Carleton University project that all of the work should be performed on site with only the most skilled and qualified workers.
